Why I Wrote a Fear Devotional
I am so excited for the release of my latest book, Whom Shall I fear? 30 Days of Christ-Centered Courage!
You will all be able to read it soon, but before you do, I wanted to give you a little insight into why I felt led to write a devotional centered around fear.
First, it is something that everyone experiences.
No one is a stranger to feeling afraid, which also tends to breed worry and anxiety.
As a result, I knew that a lot of people, from various walks of life, would be able to find this collection of devotions relatable and helpful.
The second reason I felt led to write this book is because fear is a personal struggle of mine.
I often find myself allowing this pervasive emotion to overtake my thoughts and actions. I needed this book in my own life, and as I wrote it, I found myself learning new methods for connecting with Christ and facing my own fears.
Last, but certainly not least, I felt led to write about fear because it can have a large impact on our spiritual life and walk with Christ.
On one hand, if we allow it to, fear can create a chasm of separation between us and God.
On the other hand, if we lean into Him in the face of that fear, we can grow more connected to Christ as we draw on His courage.
Each of the devotions in Whom Shall I Fear centers around different fears. However, they all have one common thread…finding courage through Christ. I pray that you will enjoy!
