“There are seven emotions that are believed to be universal.

Anger, contempt, disgust, enjoyment, sadness, surprise, and fear.

Everyone, no matter their birthplace, socioeconomic status, age, or personality, has felt these emotions at one time or another.

We have all felt that gripping sensation as our hearts begin to race, our breath becomes ragged, and we cannot think clearly. Whether we want to admit it or not, we have all been scared.

Despite its commonality and similar symptoms, however, fear takes many different forms.

Fear of the unknown.

Fear of heights.

Fear of spiders, storms, being alone, or of sickness.

I could go on, but you get the point.

Likewise, all these fears also have one other commonality…they can be remedied by the same powerful medicine…a heavy dose of Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:37-39 says,

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

 In these few verses, Paul, the author of Romans, lists several common fears…”
