Let's Go Back to the Beginning

I have not spoken much about what my life was like before I learned to adapt to my blindness. While I do not believe I will ever completely get used to all of the hardships that blindness brings, I have made a lot of progress in the last five years.

While I normally focus on the positives, this week I want to give my readers a little insight into how I felt, what I thought, and how I lived immediately following my sight loss.

Reflecting on 2019

2019 has been a whirlwind to say the least. From embarking on some incredible journeys and welcoming new life into the world to beginning new endeavors and closing the door on others, life has been pretty exciting! So, before we say Merry Christmas and hello to 2020, let’s take a second to reflect on 2019.

Finding Purpose in Honduras | Part 1

In late January of this year, I was asked to embark on a big adventure.

The Bowdon Foreign Mission Team invited my to join them on their annual trip to Honduras as the inspirational speaker this year. I was surprised, to say the least. The furthest place I had ever been asked to speak was south Alabama and I wasn’t too keen on traveling to a third-world country. Something came over me though, call it God or call it a momentary lapse into insanity, but I immediately said yes.
